Macrame Disaster

I was looking for a round table runner on Etsy, something kind boho/farmhouse to go on a coffee table. I searched and searched and thought I had found something I liked. I purchased it along with two other items. I thought. A day or two later I went back to check on my orders andContinue reading “Macrame Disaster”

Easy Leftover Stir-Fry

Do you have leftover meats/proteins? Vegetables that may start to turn? Cooked rice that’s just been sitting in the fridge? Make a stir-fry! I love stir-fries. I probably make at least one every two weeks. They’re easy and you can throw in basically anything that you want. I usually look for leftover vegetables that willContinue reading “Easy Leftover Stir-Fry”

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Risotto. So delicious! So creamy! It transports me back to my study abroad in Italy. It makes me think of cobble stone streets, large grand avenues, beautiful architecture and melodic language. Great wine ( especially for a 21 year old!) and even greater food. While watching Hell’s Kitchen, we saw all the chefs struggling toContinue reading “Gourmet Mushroom Risotto”

Easy French Ratatouille

The Hubby and I have been binge watching Hell’s Kitchen. You know, the tv show where Gordon Ramsey yells at everyone ( just kidding he does in all his shows)? While we were watching, ratatouille was mentioned and Sam ( the hubs) asked what it was. I said vegetables and he thought I mean aContinue reading “Easy French Ratatouille”

First Wedding Anniversary

I couldn’t believe it! An entire year has gone by since the Hubby (Sam) and I got married. Sure we had been planning a wedding for a year, but due to the Pandemic, we never had the opportunity to go through with it. We ended up hurriedly getting a Justice of the Peace as theContinue reading “First Wedding Anniversary”

Passover 2021

Passover (Pesach in Hebrew), is a holiday that celebrates the Jews’ escape from Slavery. Miracles took place, but they still wandered the desert for 40 years until they reached Israel. This Passover passed much like 2020, in the house and zooming with the family. That being said, there was a lot more hope this year.Continue reading “Passover 2021”

Strawberry Rosé Cake

Southern Living Magazine came out with a recipe that I simply couldn’t resist: Strawberry rosé cake. Yes I am supposed to be eating healthier, yes my hubby did give me the side-eye, haha, no it didn’t stop me! It looked and sounded so delicious in the magazine I gave in to it. And you knowContinue reading “Strawberry Rosé Cake”

Two More Lavender Pots Done!

I decorated two more ceramic pots which leaves me with two left to go. The last set of lavender did just fine in the transition and just moved to the backyard this week. Hopefully they will do ok with the new temperature fluctuations and (hopefully) more sun!

1st Comfort for Critters Complete

Well, it might be a tad narrow and the pattern certainly is messed up, but hopefully the kitties and puppies won’t mind. I can assure you that it is still very fluffy! So it should be comfortable for them to sleep with. I plan on making a few more and maybe will try the sameContinue reading “1st Comfort for Critters Complete”

Blueberry Lemon Muffins

As I stared blankly at my pantry, wondering what to eat for breakfast, I started to look at my top shelf. It is the baking shelf. It is also the shelf where exotic flours go to die. I started shifting some items around and ended up finding cassava flour, almond flour, wheat flour, corn flour,Continue reading “Blueberry Lemon Muffins”
