Macrame Disaster

I was looking for a round table runner on Etsy, something kind boho/farmhouse to go on a coffee table. I searched and searched and thought I had found something I liked. I purchased it along with two other items. I thought. A day or two later I went back to check on my orders andContinue reading “Macrame Disaster”

First Wedding Anniversary

I couldn’t believe it! An entire year has gone by since the Hubby (Sam) and I got married. Sure we had been planning a wedding for a year, but due to the Pandemic, we never had the opportunity to go through with it. We ended up hurriedly getting a Justice of the Peace as theContinue reading “First Wedding Anniversary”

Two More Lavender Pots Done!

I decorated two more ceramic pots which leaves me with two left to go. The last set of lavender did just fine in the transition and just moved to the backyard this week. Hopefully they will do ok with the new temperature fluctuations and (hopefully) more sun!

1st Comfort for Critters Complete

Well, it might be a tad narrow and the pattern certainly is messed up, but hopefully the kitties and puppies won’t mind. I can assure you that it is still very fluffy! So it should be comfortable for them to sleep with. I plan on making a few more and maybe will try the sameContinue reading “1st Comfort for Critters Complete”

Pulling Out the Brushes

Even though I’m a former art teacher, I find myself rarely pulling out my paint brushes. I often feel guilty about that. I love painting, but it is a pain in the tushy to set up and clean up. I share the office with the hubby but it’s a little tight on space for anContinue reading “Pulling Out the Brushes”

Purl One, Knit One

While waiting for yarn to come in for the scarf my dad requested, I decided to start a new project. I found out about a non-profit called Comfort for Critters. People can make small blankets and donate them to specific shelters. These blankets are used as beds for one of the animals at the shelter,Continue reading “Purl One, Knit One”

Floating Shelves Finished!

Whew! It’s one of those projects that we expected to take a day or two that ended up taking about three weeks. We learned a lot along the way as well (ahem, mistakes were made). You see the floating shelves all over the internet, in home make-overs and Pinterest, but how do you do them?Continue reading “Floating Shelves Finished!”

Painted Lavender Pots Round 1

After looking at how wonderful the lavender is doing, I decided it was time to give them room to grow. I want my pretty lavender to continue to flourish and hopefully flower! I love my plain white ceramic pots because they have so much potential, but there were no holes in the bottom. Luckily, theContinue reading “Painted Lavender Pots Round 1”

I’m not sure exactly when I started this blog, maybe it’s been three months? All I can say is that I am very excited to have reached over 100 followers on WordPress! I know, I know, I’m no influencer. But that’s ok, I am so thankful for all of you who have been reading andContinue reading “100 Followers!”

Momma’s Scarf

I finished my third scarf. My mom had requested one to match her hat, which is a light tan color so I ended finding a yarn that matched ( I hope) but was much finer than I had used before. In the beginning I struggled with several different types of needles and casting on withContinue reading “Momma’s Scarf”
