Over the weekend the hubby and I enjoyed an antiques and crafts show. I never thought I’d say this, but the show was poppin!
There were lines to get in the door, a live band, food trucks, and crazy amounts of people! Who knew it would be the hottest place in town?
I have to say, it was great. It filled a convention center and spilled out on to the curb around it. Tons of vendors that came from all over the country. If I had endless funds, I’m pretty sure I would have gone crazy in there.
As it was, we spent too much money. We bought several beautiful antiques from one particular gentleman who truly was passionate about his wares. We brought home a trunk that will be used as a coffee table, an old Bakelite radio that is clear as a bell, and an old box camera. There was a hutch that got away ( and broke my heart) but may have been a blessing in disguise ( so we didn’t spend more money). I’m also sad we didn’t get the opportunity to get a drawing made of Max ( my cat).
That being said, when the next Vintage Market Days comes around I’ll be first in line! I’ll just leave my wallet at home 😉
