Memorial Day

Memorial Day is an American holiday honoring fallen soldiers. It is a day of consideration and thankfulness to those who died fighting for our country.

Regardless of whether you agree with the politics of your country or the wars that they are involved in, it is important to remember the people who gave their lives. Some celebrate with flags laid out in cemeteries, others by watching a parade. Others still, with a barbecue.

My sister in law and her husband, both of whom have devoted most /all of their careers to the military, are luckily still with us. To them I would like to say thank you for your service and all the sacrifices you have made for this country.

So while you celebrate the beginning of summer, think of those who sacrificed for you. Now go enjoy your burger and beer.
