Second round! Our ratty old IKEA couch that had been sitting on the landing was first to go. It was taking up space and was an eyesore that the cat had used as a scratching post. It had served its purpose well for over six years but it was time to go.
We packed up all our old DVDs , some plate-ware, an old popcorn maker that made kernels commit suicide, a rice cooker that undercooked the rice, an old IKEA shelf and garden chairs that weighed a ton.
It was great letting go of all these items to free up space and make room for new items. We were able to buy new plates and make a nicer landing area ( pictures to come).
It can be hard to let go, but once you do, it can be so freeing. More open space to enjoy and rearrange to your heart’s content. I know we aren’t alone in this idea since there was a line behind us at the Salvation Army!
