On Sunday, the sun came out. It was a beautiful 75 degrees! It was a huge relief to be back to the weather we know and love. Of course Texas still has a long way to go before getting back to normal and recovering from the storm, but it is a huge step in the right direction.
I decided to go for a walk, and as I moved down the street, I was jumping over and around huge mountains of fallen/collected wood piles. Everyone was working on their lawns, cleaning up the debris. It was nice to see everyone outside, and I’m sure they enjoyed and appreciated the good weather as much as I did.
As I finished my walk I saw a clump of downed branches at the park across the street. I called the hubby to come out and he appeared with a wagon and saw (he should have been a Boy Scout)! we chopped and broke up the branches and threw them in to our little blue wagon. Free firewood!
