On Saturday my husband and I went for a walk. We were talking about some of the things we missed, like eating out, going shopping, hanging with friends, etc. at the end of the walk we drove home, and as we pulled in to the driveway, he told me to stay in the car. Huh?
He went inside the house, grabbed something and then came back out. Then we drove down the street and pulled in to a fenced in field. I had always wanted to check it out. Sounds weird, right? It is a commercial business for building tiny homes and structures ( like backyard gym/offices). I love watching shows like Tiny Homes Nation but I’ll be honest, I don’t have that dream, I just like looking inside them.
The real reason we were there was for a food truck! In Austin…Shocker! Nobody in Austin likes food trucks, especially those that sell tacos! Ok, ok. We all know that isn’t true, but I don’t technically live in Austin. I live in the suburbs, so taco trucks are less common and more exciting.
We’ve passed by the food truck more than twice a day everyday since it opened. Today we were going to try it! Woohoo! And the cherry on top? They had some kind of Christmas market going on. So we got to wander around and check out/sample all the wares. There was salsa, tres leches, hand-woven garments, skin care and more. It was great timing! Don’t you love when you show up to a place and there are festivities going on?
Sam (my husband) got The Torch Breakfast Taco and I got the potato and egg taco with avocado on top. While we waited, we had the luxury of sitting by a fire, and listening to live music. What could be better?
We took the tacos home to eat and they were delicious! We will definitely be going back there again! Hopefully there will be more festivities there in the future as well!
